He might be like humpty dumpty but thank god tor tor's waaaay cuter! Have you tried... I don't know if it would work, this is just an idea... tried making a sort of skeleton as it were, made with wire, and then building the figure around it with the clay so that it has an inside form to cling to? Since you have to bake the clay I don't know if it would work though.
